After several years of delays, BALLOONS UMBRELLAS & SNOW opens on September 7th at Baxter St at CCNY concurrently with an immersive installation at Anthology Film Archives. The show runs through October 15th. In short, the work is an algorithm Matthew designed which filters his snapshot archive (spanning 3 decades) through the process of free association via a public website balloons umbrella and snow.com The system links one memory to the next based on extensive tags he attributes to each image. Balloons Umbrellas & Snow is presented by Baxter St at CCNY and made possible in part by The Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
